‘The Sock Show’ is a brand new outdoor acrobatic performance from Can’t Sit Still, featuring two performers, one massive pile of mismatched socks, and zero shame.
Watch as discarded socks are stitched, swung, and swung from in a show that’s equal parts circus and sock-based existential crisis. Expect dazzling flips, daring balances, and a surprisingly moving ode to the lost art of mending.
This is sustainability with style: a celebration of repair, reuse, and ridiculous footwear.

We made this show because we’re passionate about caring for our planet, and inspiring others to do the same. In this booklet you can find out how saving your unloved socks can make a difference, along with lots of creative ideas for new things those socks could become! At the end, you’ll find a buffet of wonderful clubs and spaces in and around South Gloucestershire where you can nurture your sustainability and creativity.
This show was created as part of a wider programme of work called ‘Summer of Socks’. Summer of Socks was conceived by Can’t Sit Still and delivered in partnership with South Gloucestershire Council, with funding from the West of England Combined Mayoral Authority.
